MY WORK

Below, you'll find a sampling of some of my favorite projects and events I have helped support and produce.

ZACH Theater, Red, Hot & Soul

I produced ZACH Theater's annual fundraiser, Red, Hot & Soul. This event supports funds for the entire organization as the largest single gala fundraiser and event.

Big Reds & Bubbles 2012, 2013, 2014

I developed and produced all aspects of this ticketed sip and stroll style wine and food tasting event for 350 guests. In partnership with Glazer's Distributors and some of Austin's top restaurants, Big Reds & Bubbles showcases around 20 wine portfolios (over 100 wines) and 20-30 chefs annually, and is one of Austin's most highly anticipated food events. I created and implemented the annual event budget, and managed the creative direction, branding and styling, venue and vendor solicitation and relations, contract coordination,  license and permit coordination, front and back of house event management. I created all collateral materials and content for the event, and managed marketing and ticket sales. I also developed and implemented all donor solicitation strategies and fundraising efforts around the event including coordination of fundraising efforts between board, committees and donors for silent auction and raffles, and management of relationships with in-kind, cash and product sponsors.

Citywide 86'd 2013, 2014, 2015

In partnership with Uchiko and Keeper Collection, I worked on behalf of The Wine & Food Foundation to produce and manage three seasons of the Citywide 86'd "Chopped" style cooking competition - including media kick-off events, four preliminary competition rounds between sixteen Austin-based restaurants and ticketed finale. I managed the event budget, ticket sales, venue, license and permit coordination, and vendors (between 40 and 50 restaurants, farm, and beverage partners each season). I developed copy, marketing pieces and print collateral with Cultivate PR. Together with a team of five, I handled day-of production including front and back of house event management.

Rare & Fine Wine Auction 2014, 2015

For two years I produced the Rare & Fine Wine Auction - the largest wine auction in the Southwest with around 100 live auction lots and up to 400 guests annually. The Auction includes three days of ticketed events: a kick-off party at Franklin Barbecue, the featured winemaker luncheon and the dinner and live auction.  I managed the day-of production of for all three days of events including styling, venue and vendor solicitation and relations, contract coordination,  license and permit coordination, front and back of house event management. I worked with the Foundation's Auction Director to create all collateral materials and content for the events and managed marketing and ticket sales. I also helped coordinate fundraising efforts between board, committees and donors for the live and silent auction and managed relationships with in-kind and product sponsors.

Somms Under Fire 2013, 2014, 2015

In partnership with Keeper Collection, I worked on behalf of The Wine & Food Foundation to produce and manage the Somms Under Fire wine and food pairing competition. I managed the event budget, ticket sales, venue, license and permit coordination, and vendors. I developed copy, marketing pieces and print collateral for the competition and managed day-of production including front and back of house event management.

Tour de Vin 2012, 2013, 2014

I developed and produced all aspects of Tour de Vin - a ticketed sip and stroll style wine and food tasting event for 400 guests. A partnership with Republic National Distribution and some of Austin's top restaurants, Tour de Vin showcases around 15 wine portfolios (nearly 100 wines) and 20 chefs annually. I created and implemented the annual event budget. I managed the creative direction, branding and styling, venue and vendor solicitation and relations, contract coordination,  license and permit coordination, front and back of house event management.

Toast & Roast 2015

I developed and executed the inaugural Toast & Roast event in partnership with Texas Monthly to promote their annual Texas Best Wines list.

Duchman Winery 2010 White Wine Portfolio Roadshow

Organized consumer and trade portfolio tastings in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin to promote the spring 2012 release of Duchman's 2010 white wine portfolio. Coordinated consumer, trade and media guests in each city.

The Cru for Young Professionals

Founded and developed The Cru membership for young professionals meeting and exceeding board expectations for membership growth with a younger demographic. Now the fastest growing branch of the foundation’s membership, The Cru is helping to open new channels of community support from enterprising food and beverage industry professionals and consumers.

Other Projects

Wine & Food Foundation of Texas Website and Identity

Developed new brand identity for WFFT including cohesive branding for premiere foundation events, website re-design, and all current marketing collateral. I provided close attention to user experience, usability, and community identity. I also contributed copy and directed the aesthetic and styling of all pieces.

Educational Member Programming

Beginning in the fall of 2014, I developed and implemented and managed educational member programming including a monthly wine education series and bi-monthly wine and food pairing series. These intimate events quickly became widely popular with Wine & Food Foundation members, helping to grow membership and exceeding board and member expectations for increased membership value.

Annual Donor Solicitation Plan with Directed Giving to Targeted Beneficiaries

Developed an organized annual approach for donor solicitation across all Foundation events and programs. In addition, board leadership asked for my input in selecting beneficiaries of the foundation’s giving. I suggested opportunities that would enhance membership retention and growth as well as have a positive community impact. The executed plan exceeded expectations for  broader community participation and increased fundraising.
